Maxon America is looking for a Technical Support Manager

We are currently searching for a Technical Support Manager. The right candidate should possess knowledge in two-way radio communications. DMR, NXDN, and Cellular (CDMA) technology knowledge or experience is a plus. A 2-year degree minimum in electronics technology is preferred. This is a management position utilizing skills in RF test equipment, knowledge of surface mount components, interfacing with the factories on solving complex problems with our current products, and the ability to work with overseas engineers to solve issues with new products. Some limited travel to Industry Expo Events and customer locations will be required.
This is a 40 hour/week position. Daily Duties include product support with Maxon’s dealer network over phone and email, the ability to repair radios on a timely basis, assist technicians in daily repairs & training. You will be a major part of Maxon’s New Product Development. This includes but not limited to, evaluating new products by assisting engineering on all functions and features, testing of the programming software, testing of each function of a product and reporting any issues to the factory, quality control assessment of inbound shipments, writing or assisting in creating manuals such as owner’s guides, programming manuals, and any technical related information, creating technical bulletins, and helping with parts procurement for repairs and for the dealer base. The ability to multi-task between job responsibilities and a supervisor role is essential.
Pride in workmanship and attention to detail are required. Salary is based upon experience. Monthly health and dental insurance premiums are paid after three months.
