How to Buy

Our radios are for professional use and most require an FCC, IC (Canada), or CE Red (Europe) license to import and/or operate. We are providing new radios directly from Maxon to make it easier for those customers to find replacement radios for existing systems. If you are unsure of how to operate or install a Maxon Data Radio, or if you are based internationally outside of the US, please contact us by email first so we can help you find a knowledgeable local Maxon dealer: maxon@maxonamerica.com                       Ordering Process for Maxon Data Radios:
  1. Pick the radio model you need from the pull down selections.
  2. If you need POCSAG functionality on your radio or a MODEM installed, select “YES” for those choices and that service/product will be added to your cart, select “NO” to confirm that service is not needed.
  3. The radios come either unprogrammed or programmed with random testing frequencies. Select “YES” if you want us to program your radio, or “NO” if you plan to program your own radios. Information needed for your programming will be captured in the shipping notes later.
  4. Once those selection are made, you will be able to add your radio to the cart for checkout. Click on the blue “Add to cart” button to add the radio you’ve selected to cart.
  5. Click on “CART” at the top of the website when you are ready to checkout and purchase the radio. A summary page for your order will come up. Click on “Proceed to checkout” to move forward and add your contact and shipping information and any programming information needed for your radios. “Standard Shipping” is currently FedEx ground.
  6. There is a text box within the shipping information request that is labeled “Order Notes (optional)”. This is where you will need to put your programming instructions for our technicians to follow. There is plenty of space within the text box for detailed instructions. You can also just request in that box that we contact you directly for programming instructions. If you request & pay for programming for your order but do not list what your programming needs are, you will be contacted by Maxon for this information before your order is shipped.
  7. Verify your shipping and order details. Click on “Proceed to Paypal” to place the order even if you do not want to use Paypal. The option to use “Credit Card as a Guest” appears on the next few pages of checkout. Follow the links to PAY AS A GUEST if you do not want to use PayPal. There will be several pages at checkout to click through.
  8. You will get a confirmation from Maxon and Paypal that the order was placed and tracking information will follow once the radio has been boxed up for shipping.
